You may have seen our recent news of a four-week suspension to apprentice fees. At Skills, we want to make sure that the fee suspension reaches everyone.

So, our four-week fee suspension for apprentices also extends to those who have paid their full year’s fees upfront

You can choose how this happens:
1.    We can push out the date of your next annual invoice. So, if your next fee payment is due in August, for example, it would now not be due until September; or
2.    We can transfer you over to a weekly or monthly Direct Debit payment.  That means you will receive a refund of any annual fees you have prepaid and your Direct Debit will then commence after the four-week suspension period.

If you’d like option 1, you don’t need to do anything. We’ll do this for you automatically.

If you’d like option 2, you just need to contact us on 0508 SKILLS or receivables@skills.org.nz so we can get your Direct Debit up and running.

Again, we do understand there are apprentices and employers facing financial hardship right now, so if you need help, do get in touch.

In the meantime, stay safe and stay well.
