With the announcement from the Government of the move to Alert Level 3, we wanted to make sure you are updated on what this means for your apprentice(s).
So, please have a read of the bulletin from the Ministry of Education which outlines details of what moving from Level 4 to Level 3 will look like, as well as links to extra information that may be relevant for apprentices.
As we move to Level 3, at Skills we are in the final stages of confirming our plans to continue delivery of apprenticeship training, and what needs to be put in place to ensure we meet all health and safety requirements along the way. We will share this detail with you soon.
We also hope that the additional support Skills provided through the four-week fee suspension has been helpful in easing any financial pressure.
Please note that as we come out of lockdown Level 4 and begin the process of returning to work and training, fees will also go back to normal – from Monday 27 April for most apprentices, or 4 May for ETCO and Open Polytech trainees.
Once again, we are all in this together and we do appreciate that some of you are experiencing significant financial stress. Please know that we may be able to provide payment support, including changing or creating Direct Debits to assist with cash flow, so do get in touch.
You can either visit our BOT “Sam” who can assist you with this and generally answer your queries or email receivables@skills.org.nz. Just click on the image for immediate assistance.
As always, keep you and your loved ones safe and well.
