The EM ACE Fund was established to fund the training of Fire and Civil Defence volunteers. The Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) contracts a number of training providers to deliver training to approved volunteers. The management of this fund is overseen by a Governance Group comprising representatives from the Fire and Civil Defence sectors.
The Civil Defence sector has identified an increased requirement for volunteer training from 2018. The Governance Group is seeking Expressions of Interest from training providers to become a trainer of Civil Defence volunteers.
To express your organisation’s interest in becoming a training provider for Civil Defence volunteers, please download and complete the Expression of Interest form below.
Once you have completed the form, please submit this to AlexandraV@skills.org.nz by 05 February 2018.
If your organisation is selected by the Governance Group, you will need to be approved by TEC and meet their financial viability checks. Once approved, a Funding Agreement will be established with TEC. Further information on eligibility and funding arrangements can be found here.
