Change Lives, Shape Futures

The Department of Corrections works around the clock to protect the public from those who can cause harm. Corrections’ vision is to create lasting change by breaking the cycle of re-offending.

Skills partners closely with Corrections to develop programmes that recognise the skills staff use each day to succeed in their roles, as well as focus on the outcomes – to change lives and shape futures.

The Department of Corrections has an offender-centric approach to their operations, and through a close partnership with Skills, is working hard to increase staff capabilities in a number of areas.
