Benchmark your training

This certification recognises workplaces for their continuing achievements in better training and setting the benchmark for training systems and practices. The awarding of a certificate is the result of an evaluation of the effectiveness of The Skills Organisation registered workplaces and recognises the level of workplace training provided in the workplace.

Skills carries out workplace evaluations to make training more effective and also to provide guidance to improve current training systems and practices. If required recommendations for improvements will also be provided.

The process

Any recognised training workplace can apply to undertake the evaluation.

Companies can achieve gold, silver or bronze status based on the quality of their workplace training systems. The three-tier approach means companies at silver or bronze status will receive on-going support to lift their status to gold at their next evaluation.

The evaluation itself takes a few hours and covers areas from training methods, plans, trainee support, outcomes of moderation, to reporting and overall trainee results. During the evaluation, Skills team will focus on the following areas within the employer’s training system:

The process also includes Skills conducting background research, a workplace visit and the preparation of a workplace report.
